Cubed Paneer/cottage cheese and veggies are marinated in yogurt & aromatic Indian spices. Then they are skewered and grilled till brown. Traditionally paneer tikka is made in tandoor or in an oven, but you can make it on non-stick tawa or pan too. I use non-stick grill pan to prepare paneer tikka.
Cube the paneer & cut veggies (capsicum & onion) into 1 inch pieces. Make sure that the size of paneer & veggies are same.
Take ingredients listed under marinade to a big bowl & mix it well.
Add cut veggies & paneer to prepared marinade.
Gently mix. Make sure all the pieces coated well.
Cover & let it rest in refrigerator for least 4 hours.
If you are using wooden skewers then soak them in water for 15 min before using. At the time of using, wipe them using kitchen towel.
Skewer paneer cubes alternating with onions & capsicum.
Heat a non-stick grill pan or tawa on medium heat. Place skewer on hot tawa & fry them brushing oil on each side.
Turn it & cook all sides till it is golden brown.
Serve hot with sliced onions & mint chutney.
