Beetroot Halwa

Beetroot Halwa is a delicious dessert prepared from nutrition rich beetroot and tastes similar to carrot halwa. This will be prepared using minimum ingredients and it consumes very less time.

Beetroot Halwa
  1. Peel, wash and grate the beetroot.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp. of ghee in a deep frying pan.
  3. Add grated beetroot and sauté in medium heat until beetroot is soft.
  4. Once beetroot is soft, add a cup of milk & let it cook on medium heat by stirring it occasionally.
  5. Once the milk is reduced (approx. after 10 min), add sugar & continue cooking in medium heat.
  6. When the halwa is almost dry, add chopped cashew & a tbsp. of ghee, mix well.
  7. Once water content in mixture is dried, halwa is almost ready.
  8. At the end add cardamom powder, give a final mix.
  9. Serve it hot or cold.
